Description: There are many ways that Aura, the light of the soul, Semblances and Dust mix to give Hunters the power to fight the creatures of Grimm. What if one thought lost to history and legend were found again?
Author's Note: So here we have the start of my first fan fiction story with an OC added in to mix things up. I choose RWBY because I have been very much enjoying the efforts of other authors in this universe. I also choose RWBY because the creator, Monty Oum, encouraged OC creation enough that he posted naming rules on his twitter feed to help things stay consistent. So out of respect for that I decided to follow them, and even base the character off another of the fairytales by the Brothers Grimm. (See if you can guess which one)
Finally I wanted to have the character use an ability that is not common but alluded to often. Professor Ozpin talked about weaving Dust for use in spells into clothing during a world of Remnant short, but during the series Cinder Fall is the only

Chapter 1: A Shining Beacon
Umber had the cloth and dust available with the supplies she had brought from the academy, so by the time they landed at the air field in Vytal two young women with golden brown hair set out for supplies.
New kingdom, new continent, new city, new home, new school, but first and most important New Clothes! Priorities must be maintained after all. Winter seemed to already have quite the collection of jeans, blouses, and shoes that Umber would guess she didn't get a chance to wear often with her duties for the military. So most of the shopping came down to Umber picking out clothes for herself, which was a refreshing change even if Winter demanded older sister veto rights.
It also brought to light a problem with her current combat attire. Umber's bodysuit and mantle lacked pockets for her scroll, pocketbook, or any other items she might need on an average day. With hunters, and hunters in training, wearing their combat attire in public in the kingdo

Normally she wears a dress of some sort over her armored bodysuit, and keeps her fox ears tucked into her hair or under a hat, but I thought a peak behind the curtain might be nice ^_~

Still it might be best to move before she completes her swing with Rumble Stilt.
