Another cat from Paro! This time its an ex-leader.

Skyclan cats separate themselves from the other clans in that they're more power-driven than the others. The leaders are held up to standards to be one of the most powerful cats in the clan, physically and or socially. If a leader is not following these standards in the eyes of the clan, they could choose to enact a vote in which the cats of higher status decide if the leader stays or not, or a challenge could be stated. Nettlespark, a well-respected savannah cat challenged him for his position of leadership, purely out of a desire for power herself, as well as the thought that he was not allowing Skyclan to be as strong as it could be.

He lost the challenge, unfortunately, and rather than stepping down properly he ran from it and kept 4 of his lives for himself. Being as injured as he was, and unknowing of how harshly he would be treated if he was caught in clan territory after his stunt, he allowed himself to be taken in by a human and become a kittypet. Though the human gave him the name Maksim, he is referred to as Shade by the cats who know him.
