Here's yet another brainchild from my Latin class (my teacher has given up on understanding anything I put Yuugiou in
).This is an abedecarian poem, which pretty much means that you have to make each line starting with a consecutive letter in the alphabet. It's pretty fun, and having to put in at least five lines that started with Latin words allowed for some freedom. XD
Here's the translations:
Eriget ipse sursum celrī manō (He raises himself up with swift hands)
Horribilis est occæcantem noctem fallāciæ (Horrible is the blinding night of illusion)
Nomine deī is deserēbātur (In the name of god he has been forsaken)
Quis estis vōs, umbræ meī præteritī? (Who are you, shadows of my past?)
Rex morēbātur, hallelujah, hallelujah! (The king has died, hallelujah, hallelujah!)
Uxōr Scribæ decernēbat ejus miserum fatum (The wife of the Scribe has decreed his poor fate)
Xystus deōrum manēmus ejus cæcum scelus (The open colonnade of the gods awaits his blind crimes)

This has got to be one of the most moving pieces of poetry for YGO that I have ever read. I'm not usually into poetry, but this... just WOW, really.
