I kinda feel like the ending isn't as good as the beginning.
I mean, "What else would you do with a foal?" - are we to believe that Luna eats babies? It remains unexplained why, and so the joke doesn't quite...work.

Luna's holiday Nightmare Night does portray her haunting the lands and gobbling up foals unless they give her candy treats. This version of Luna probably lives up to the legend and has no problem with her or anypony else doing it
