no, i really avoid picking colors from ref.
i often analzye the ref with the eyedroper beforehand and try to remember the "main colors".
but a good technique that worked for me in the beginning to get a better color-feeling was this: click . (sorry for the copy paste link, but i'm a bit in a hurry x3 )
well, just do some studies yourself, it's quite some fun and not that hard.
you also have some nice skill, so it will be surely no prob for you. good luck! :D
