Here's my concept for Mega Carnivine. Design-wise I flipped and enlarged its head to make it reminiscent of one of Poison Ivy's pets! I wanted this one to have a shocking change in ability and type to make it one of those surprise picks for battles. While its Attack is potentially immense due to its ability and its Speed is a lot higher than before, its overall stats are still fairly balanced and Grass isn't the best type offensively or defensively, so you should be able to counter it if you have planned properly e.g. saved a Steel-type -but if you haven't, watch out because this plant is hangry!Fun fact - its new vine hand jaws are made from Carnivine's Pokémon Shuffle icon!
Details
Usually Carnivine wait patiently for their prey to land in their mouths before they deliver the fatal blow. Mega Evolution turns this normally laid back and patient Pokemon into a ferocious beast! Overflowing with energy, it is unable to control its appetite and will descend on anything that takes its fancy with fearsome speed and strength. Its vines and wraps grow in number in order to quickly restrain opponents so that its enlarged, strengthened jaws can swallow them whole. Mega Carnivine is truly a dangerous foe that must be dealt with quickly and decisively before it can get a hold of its opponent or start stockpiling reserves.
