Description UPDATED BIO: updated the character's look, changed his name as well as other information, added Background, rewrote Abilities and Personality

Name: Vigo (real name: Victor Saavedra)
Age: over 17 (appears to be about 13)
Gender: Male
Nationality: Spanish, from Galicia
Color: Light Green
Theme: Sins of the Father

Background: Victor used to be an ordinary boy living in a rural village with his friends and family. That changed the moment he found an old ruined stone tower near his village, where he met a strange, old, wise man. This man was very pleased to find such a young boy entering his home, and he showed Victor some of his ancient lore, teaching him some of his secrets. Victor was fascinated with this new world opening before his eyes, and even after his parents forbade him from going near the tower ever again, he kept visiting the old man every other night.
But then, one full moon's night, the old man called Victor and told him he needed him for a very special incantation. Victor listened to the old man and did everything he was asked, even reciting some strange words from an old parchment. It was then that his life changed forever. The old man became bound to him, and clinged to the boy's life force like a parasite clings to a host's blood. After his evil spell succeeded, the old man, now reinvigorated by Vince's youth, finally revealed himself to the boy as a cruel and powerful warlock, who would use Victor's body to further his wretched life. The wizard disappeared into the boy's body, where he would wait for a chance to come out and unleash his evil upon the world with renewed strenght.
Betrayed and exhausted, Victor returned to his village, only to find his parents devastated when they heard what had happened to their child. Knowing well that staying would put their lives and those of his friends in danger, he left his village, never to return, even forsaking his old name. He spent the next few years of his life in self-imposed exile, wandering the world and trying as he could to protect everyone else from the monster he now carried inside. Years after his life changed forever, Victor, now Vigo, walked into a quiet French town, where his life would change once again...

Abilities: Vigo is Soulbound to Karagos, meaning their souls are bound to one another. Both share the same body, but manifesting at different times, and they also share life forces, tapping into their combined strength. Because of their particular type of forced Soulbond (called Fetter) based on physical and mental force, he appears as a gauntlet worn by his Soulbound partner whenever he's dormant.
Due to sharing his life force with Karagos', Vigo is physically more powerful than any other boy his age. He is much stronger, faster, and more resilient than he looks. Not only that, but he can conjure some of his partner's strength as a gigantic sword, his weapon of choice. Ever since he forced himself into exile, Vigo has trained himself in the art of swordsmanship, and several years of practice have turned him into an exceptionally skilled swordsman. In fact, he's so dextrous with the blade, he can even wield his unwieldly and heavy sword with one single hand, leaving the other empty to better parry and block physical blows. In his pectorals is also a chest binder especially designed to restrain his excess strength; by taking it off, Vigo's raw physical power suffers a dramatic increase, but it also becomes much more difficult for him to control it.
In cases of physical or mental exhaustion, Vigo may give way to Karagos, depending on whether he can hold him off or not.

Personality: Vigo mostly keeps to himself, unwilling to open his heart to anyone who gets close to him, as he's afraid he might hurt them - or the other way around. Because of this, he usually comes off as being aloof or unmotivated, but that's far from the truth: his resolve and determination are probably the greatest out of everyone in his group, and he'll willingly jump into battle to defend his companions, even if he might put himself at great risk by doing so.

Well, I've been busy for a while and I haven't done much for more than a week, so here's a little something for you: a promotional panel for one of my Ruinion characters. I'll be doing a few more of them, until I've covered the main characters.
I'm still braindead for the week, so this description ends here. Ask me any questions in the comments or through a PM.

Holy shit so THAT'S what Karagos is all about. The way their relationship works reminds me, albeit slightly, of Yellow Temperance. Except of course for the OBVIOUS REASONS, such as Karagos not being some kind of golden sentient slime, but rather an inner buffer for Vigo.

Also, nice ref to Cervantes. x)

Yeah originally I had planned to do Ruinion as a comic and reveal everything about the characters in due time, but since I'm going for the Mizar spinoff now I might as well do proper bios where I disclose everything you need to know about them.
Hmm, I guess the two of them have similar relationships with their partner/user, butI didn't really have any Stand in mind when conceiving what is a Soulbond (although to be fair Vigo ended up looking a bit like Jonathan ).

It was one of the only Galician language surnames I could find, and it doubles as an iconic Spanish name; I didn't even think of Miguel de Cervantes at first, but now that I know it I'm glad I named him after one of the best writers of his own language X)
