Coughing and clearing her throat did nothing, each attempt felt worse than the last and sounded more gruff and deep. A trip to the bathroom and a throat lozenge didn't help either. She splashed water on her face and hung her head down, only to feel as if her face was burning up with an inner heat. She moaned loudly and the sound was strange, inhuman in a way, and reminded her of something she couldn't place. Her fingers clutched at her nose and she had begun to break out in a sweat as she felt it. Her face began to push back against her hand, and an intense itch heralded the growth of a fine layer of hair.

She looked up from the sink and her eyes went wide, this wasn't just a cough, her face, it was wrong, it wasn't her face, but a strange mixture of human and... The sound that escaped her lips gave it away. A loud bray echoed through the small bathroom and she clasped her hands over her fur covered muzzle. It did no good, another bray of dismay broke her muttered sounds of confusion. Her jeans were already ripped in many places, so she didn't notice the growing tail at first, but when it brushed against her leg she saw that it wasn't just her face changing. She had a tail, hairy legs, fur covered shoulders, and even her ears had grown hairy and were just beginning to poke free of her dark hair.

She let her hands fall away as she looked in the mirror and her donkey-like face let out another bray loud enough to cause her to blush through her fur. She couldn't believe what she saw, some creature, half girl half donkey, but it wasn't a creature, it was her own face.
