So what's the fine difference between "keep you fighting" and "healing"?

I thought about the medigun working more like something between an analgesic and an analeptic instead of actually healing the wounds (apart from maybe supporting blood-clotting and things like that).

Pretty much jossed by the fact that "Healing: " is an integrated part of the Medic HUD, but since this is series a more serious approach on the matter I'll stick with your explanation (thanks for that by the way, apparently you put a lot of thought into Treibsand). I was just a bit confused when reading that line in the deviation.

Does the title Treibsand/quicksand have a special meaning for the series? As in "The Medic will get lost in more and more problems and dark thoughts as the comic progresses like people get lost in quicksand"? Or do you want to leave that open?

Mhhhh that's part of the reason why I named it that.
No need to keep that open, I guess that's pretty obvious thanks to the first few pages already

Yeah, I know that But if I had given the medigun magical healing powers in this, this would result in a)the Heavy surviving his injuries and b)Medic not needing to have any medical education whatsoever to do his job (and while I seriously doubt that is the case with "canon Medic", I wanted it to be like that here)

So far excellent choices of stylizing aspects of the game to fit the comic. Great.

By the way, do you have a main account on dA, too? I have yet to find that piece of information on this account - unless you don't have another account on deviantART.

I do but I like to keep my online identities separate (at least to a certain degree, haha). What I usually draw is very different from Treibsand anyway.

...I have to point out though, that it's not impossible to find me, you just have to know what to search for

Good lord, I love this comic. And I stopped being a medic fan months ago. I just love how canon you draw the characters; the designs perfectly match the originals. I'd kill to be able to do that. Bravo!

Thanks a lot I love how different their designs are and I try to get that across here as well

You've gotten it across. Brilliantly, might I add.

the medigun is designed to keep you fighting, not to heal?

PS. Im amazed he got that far without a medic, thats how I got my Rasputin xD

Like I explained in another comment, what I mean by that is simply that the medigun does not heal the wounds but instead just blends out the pain

For some reason I can see the 'Achievement Unlocked: Rasputin' icon in my mind's eye. Love the medic's face on the last 'panel'.

I got that achievement as a 'zombie' Heavy on a zf server.

I had to restrain myself from laughing because I was a bit sad about the Heavy, but I was amused at the achievement reference!
