A sunset on the St. Mary's River as seen from Sunnyside Beach, just west of Sault Ste. Marie, ON. A new road had just been built into this area to create a series of new waterfront lots along the shore of the St. Mary's River. Some of these empty lots had paths cleared down to the water, so I had to check it out before development began and it all became off limits. This is a series of two horizontal shots stitched together vertically.Location of photograph: [link]

Beautiful view.
I'm just beginning to realize how many shots I've taken can't be revisited because they area has been developed, or the land has changed, or the subject is gone... Have to seize the moment while it's there.

And I know what you mean. Looking back through my gallery, I've got shots of abandoned houses that have since been torn down, barns that have fallen over, urban areas that have been redeveloped, etc. But for every photographic opportunity that disappears, a new always seems to spring up in its place.
