I did this as a pallet cleanser after that big piece. I needed something simple and quick to do to keep up momentum without overloading me with work. Sort of cheer myself up before I start going in on my witchtober projects, which I'm in the process of commissioning lineart for now.
This sketch just had a lot of appeal for me, so I knew I wanted to try my hand at it. Since Ember said I could, here you have it.
The pencil shading did not translate to the digital version as well as I would have liked. The way he did it has a unique look to it that works great in sketch form, because the roughness fits in with the overall look. But my style of coloring, and the fact that it's done as vector art, means that a lot of that quality gets lost in the translation. I wouldn't say it looks bad, I just think it worked better in sketch form. But otherwise, I'm pleased with this.

Now, on to my witchtober projects. Prepare yourself for a look at Tiffany Angel, apprentice witch and pre-teen terror of the playground. You'll be getting some of that come October.
