The ' ' around princess for Pocahontas is because technically Native Americans did not have princesses but she was the daughter of Chief Powhatan of the Tsenacommacah tribe so was the chiefs daughter, but she had many brothers and Sisters. She married John Rolfe who historically was a tobacco farmer and had one son before she died and her Christian name was Rebecca. Her actual name was Matoaka and the name Pocahontas was a nickname.
Pocahontas and Mulan are part of the offical disney princesses franchise but Kida is not because she didn't sing.
Fa Mulan is married to Li Shang, Kida is married to Milo Thatch.

this is amazing and Kida isn't an official princess because she doesn't sing? but Merida is becoming one this July and she doesn't sing either...... weird

i completely forgot she does sing a song when she's a little girl with her mom. and i've seen the four times now, twice and theatres and i own it now. they sing in gaelic, can't believe i forgot.
still strange that Kida isn't included. i didn't know the had to sing to be included and Mulan isn't a princess, so that's even more confusing
