Description Hestia, Goddess of Hearth and Home using the Roman Lady doll maker.

Hestia was the Goddess of Hearth and Home. She was the Daughter of Rhea and Cronus or just Rhea. She is the eldest child of her siblings. She was a virgin Goddess. She was on the council of the 12 olympians but gave up her spot for her nephew Dionysus.

She had a few temples in Athens, Oropos in Attica, Hermione in Argolis, Sparta, Olympia in Elis, Larissa in Lapithai (Thessalia, Northern Greece), and the islands of Tenedos and Naxos. Shw was mainly worshipped in the home.

Interesting enough the Greek Gods are divided into categories she is listed with the Theoi Georgikoi (Gods of agriculture) as she was the goddess of the hearth she also presided over the baking of bread.) The Theoi Ktesioi (Gods of House and Home)
