Description
Inside her cell, Korra thrashed and writhed in the straitjacket she was bound in, which also just happened to be chained to a large dolly that sat in the furthest corner of the room. The muzzle that covered the lower part of her face prevented her from using her fire breath, but to rub salt in the wound, the captain ordered his troops to stuff both it and Korra's mouth with thick rags. Only for the sake of, in the captain's words, 'stopping the Avatar from going on any more of her deluded ramblings'.
Korra could understand the captain's skepticism of her claims about her chat with Zaheer in the Spirit World to an extent. But considering they lived in a world with literal spirits among them, surely he could've been inclined toward a little suspension of disbelief.
Korra grunted behind her thick gag as she thrust herself forward in a futile attempt to break off the chains tying her to the dolly. Her anger and irritation rose when her efforts bore no fruit. A few more minutes passed when she suddenly heard the sound of metal shifting above her. Korra glanced up to see the cover of the ventilation shaft lift open, revealing Asami's face on the other side.
"Ashmmi??" Korra's eyes widened as her friend slowly climbed down from the shaft, holding what looked like a piece of metal rebar.
Asami shushed her as she unclasped the muzzle around her mouth, which allowed Korra to spit out the rags crammed into her mouth.
"Thanks for that. How'd you get out?" Korra asked as she stretched her aching jaw.
"I have the shoddy workmanship of Cabbage Corp to thank for that." Asami grinned mischievously. She then stepped closer to examine the multiple buckles and locks of the straitjacket Korra was trapped in. "There's no way I can get these locks off without the keys."
"They might be on the guard outside." Korra inclined her head toward the door. "He's the one who locked me in here."
Asami nodded. "Okay. Try to lure him back in here, and then I'll try and jump him." She then slightly lifted the muzzle towards Korra.
The Avatar arched an eyebrow, immediately understanding the implications. "Are you serious?"
"Hey, it's gotta be convincing. Plus, your mouth isn't stuffed up, so at least you can still talk." Asami shrugged innocently.
"Why am I getting the feeling you're into this sort of thing?"
Asami's face remained neutral as she readjusted the muzzle over Korra's mouth. She then snuck next to the doorway and nodded again to her.
"Guards! Guards, get in here! I-I need some help!" Korra yelled at the top of her lungs.
Asami stepped further into the shadows as the door to Korra's cell swung open, allowing a single guard to enter inside. Sure enough, the keys to Korra's bindings were attached to a ring clipped to his belt.
"Hey, wait a sec! How can you still be talking? Aren't you supposed to be gagged under that thing?" the guard pointed at Korra's muzzle.
Korra simply shrugged. "That's exactly what I need help with. I need someone to re-gag me so I don't go on another tirade that gives the captain more gray hair."
The guard stuttered as his cheeks burned red. "Wh-What? Well, I-I mean... I, well..."
He didn't get to finish as Asami swung the rebar across the guard's head, knocking him out cold. She smiled victoriously as she used his keys to unlock her handcuffs before freeing Korra from the straitjacket.
"Nice work," Korra commended as she removed her muzzle again. "Now let's take control of the ship."
Asami smirked at Korra. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you're definitely more into foreplay than me."
"Sh-Shut up! I'd like to see you try making up an alibi on the spot!" Korra blushed. "...Wait. So you admit it!"
Asami blinked as she realized her slip-up. "Touche, Avatar Korra."
