okay! this is 's art trade!
finally got it done!
sorry about that last description it turns out i have time to write it now. XD
SO i had so much fun drawing this. seriously. i think that's why it took me so long. it was just too much fun. anyway, get ready for the concept haha!
so i wanted to portray, ~moonangel21 's character really well in this picture. something really personal to her. i wanted to include everything that enya likes (night, the moon, magic, music, black, blue) into one picture! so i did, but i put a spin on it. it's not REALLY everything she likes. it's an "image" of everything she likes. or a fake.
the night sky is not really a night sky. it's an image of a night sky on the tv.
listening to a radio through headphones is a digital recording of actual music not REAL music.
and her wings, to symbolize magic are also just an image, so it's just barely everything she truly likes.
also it's not mechanical but she enjoys peace, which is why i designed her shirt the way i did. it's a representation of peace instead of real peace.
so i called it mechanical metaphors to show that these electronic things are getting confused with the real world. we're starting to all get way too fixated and relying too heavily upon these things to get us through, but in the end it's all a fake. so i showed that with the tv leaking onto the floor. it shows that tv's and computers and things are leaking into our lives too much...
and well i guess all of my pictures are personal and i never really tell anyone why things inspire me. and i just figured it out. what inspires me is something i want or something i can relate to.
so i guess the reason i did this picture like this, to be personal about it, was because with it being the beginning of the school year i barely have any time to get on dA or watch tv or listen to my ipod. so it was leaking into my life too much. now it's not anymore, but i still want it.
so yeah that's the personal crap.

but now about the actual picture. again, TONS of fun doing this. the lineart took FOREVER. i had to set up all these squares and geometrical stuff. and i wanted to make the tv's look sketchy and fake...only to be covered up by color hahaha so i guess i kinda wasted time with that. but anyway, it was really fun to not only color but to draw. it presented a lot of challenges. thank you moonangel for challenging me! haha
well, first off tan skin. =_= i barely even had tan skin colors at all hahaha but i attempted...she wanted it soft brown. and because i color the skin before anything else it LOOKED soft brown...until i colored the rest. XD sorry! but the hair was also tons of fun and i mean...it's kinda modern. the whole style of it. o.o which is something i'm not really used to! sorry if i got a little crazy, moonangel, u told me enya's style was like selena gomez's so i looked up a couple pics...o.o lol anyway, i really hope i captured her essence!! it's been a goal of mine since we started doing these!!
