As some of you might know, Varcer is unable to tell about his past due to his limited speech and relatively short memory. He was always a background character, providing help to civilians and his teammates when needed. Several theories have arisen about his backstory and hidden motivations, and for a long time none of them presented him in a good light. Just like in the plot, people preceived him as a criminal or an intelligent monster in disguise just waiting for an opportunity to betray the organisation.

As the story progresses, heroes slowly discover more informations about their uncommon ally and it's something they would never expect. The friendly monster fighting alongside them was once a famous and respectable hero who had sacrificed everything for the good of their city - including his own humanity. However, with his new appearance, not only Varcer's public identity has changed, but also his role for the organisation he belonged to. He was no longer a proud hero like them, but a mere tool, a weapon in their hands used to fight other monsters... or at least that's what he was supposed to be. A few heroes noticed that there was a true kindness in Varcer's heart that could not be achieved through any kind of training. The transformation changed his appearance and memories, but never his life goal of helping those in need.
Although he does not fully understand his situation, his friends want him to regain the honor he lost. His story makes them question whether they are fighting on the right side, learning that things not always are black and white. Even in the world of heroes, there are shadows - Varcer, however, is not one of them.
