Description The apex predator roosts upside down. It trades the arm/wing it hangs from much like how a flamingo trades the leg it stands on.

Flamingos trade the leg that they stand on to regulate body temperature when they stand in colder water (or I think that is the current accepted theory). This creature trades the arm it hangs from during roosting as to effectively rest both arm/wing.
