It's a shame this crossover has never been made; even more-so when they actually attempted to do it but didn't because neither company could agree on who should win.

Death Battle proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that Gamera stands no chance against Godzilla...not that we Godzilla fans didn't know that anyway.

No doubt! Don't get me wrong, Gamera is a tough customer, and no slouch, but his slower regeneration, would definitely be his Achilles' heel, while trying to continue on with Godzilla's onslaught!

Nice job. In a real movie, to keep everyone happy they'd have Godzilla and Gamera duel to a draw then team u to fight some greater threat. Kind of a cop out but you avoid everyone saying the other monster should have won.

I love both these monsters. There are pros and cons for each in a fight with each other. However...I'd likely root for Godzilla. Not only is he the more classic monster, but he's the more...well...believable monster. And the more underplayed one believe it or not.
Gamera in each and one of his movies fights gallantly. Almost too galant. Unlike Godzilla, he's never had to team up with any monster to take down his foes. And while that's cool, that's one of the qualities I don't really like too much. Godzilla will team up when it's necessary, and to me, that is just really cool, and more believable. Godzilla's battles can be really brutal, and that's not downplaying Gamera's abilities at all. Gamera definitely loses more blood in his movies (literally), but his finishing moves I've seen tend to be a little too...much I guess.
personally if this movie came out, I'd hope the two would duke it out perhaps, but in the end join to face a more common and more powerful enemy. Be that King Ghidorah, or some other monster or monsters of common enemies, seeing the Guardian of the Universe and the Great Destroyer of Worlds fighting side by side would be without a doubt, one of the biggest Kaiju movies of all time.

I seriously doubt Gamera would win no offense i have seen him fight an I am impressed but Godzilla would win in my opinion not Gamera

Gamera is less resilient than Godzilla but if you watch some of the earlier Godzilla films. Godzilla is very clumsy. For example in 84 he stepped on a part of blacktop that was hollowed out and he stumbled and fell into a building.

yes gamera would most likely beat the original Godzilla but if you look at Godzilla 1990's through to the millenium (excluding zilla) those are th more lethal of the versions and would be able to subdue and defeat gamera (after a worthy battle)
