When he got home, he saw that his mom was already awake.
"Hi Tom," she said. "How was school today?"
"Awful," Tom replied. "Everyone's calling me a girl and a freak."
"Well, you did change," his mother said. "Why don't you tell us what happened yesterday?"
"Mom, I'm not telling you anything!" Tom shouted.
"You're making a big deal out of nothing," his mother said. "I bet your classmates won't say anything tomorrow."
"And what makes you think that?" Tom asked.
"Because I would make sure of it," his mother answered.
Tom realized that her words made sense, so he decided to tell his parents what happened. After hearing the story, his mom seemed a little upset, and his dad seemed to understand.
However, Tom still felt that his parents didn't believe him.
"Look, honey," his father said. "If you want to stay here, you'll need to follow our rules. You're not allowed to go out without permission, and you're supposed to always wear a bra. Is that clear?"
Tom felt uncomfortable, but he knew that he couldn't disobey his dad. So, he agreed to do as he was told.
"Tomorrow morning, we're going to take you to the mall," his mom added. "It's time you started looking for some new clothes. We'll buy whatever you want to wear. All you have to do is pick out a few outfits from the store."
