My grandfather used to say that... I still have no idea what it means, save for the poor puppy getting run over by a truck 'cause the driver didn't see it. I still feel bad for the proverbial dog.BTW, this is actually a colour photograph... it's just that this time of year is really that colourless.

The trees with a road going down the middle tends to be over used, but you out a delighful spin on the cliche. It's rare to find a winter shot that looks just as unwelcoming as it does welcoming. Ilove it, and sorry if I don't make sense.

No, I get the statement rather well. Because I know this road so well. However, not being able to see what I know is there can be disconcerting. Thanks again for the fav. And yay for delightful cliches. Apparently, they get me faved, and so I can't really complain. XD

I think in this photo at least, you did a good job putting a new veiw on an cliched set up. Which is what make it. It's familar, but new at the same time.
