Such a peaceful painting and it inspires dreamy thoughts. The girl is very ethereal in appearance and I especially like the way that you have painting her. I like the addition of the rose in her hand and also the bird. The bird makes me think of feelings of freedom due to the hazy quality of it (as if it's a suggestion of the concept). I may be reading too much into it, but that's what it made me think of

Thanks I wanted to people to have a thoughtful reaction! That's a great response! for me the hummingbird represents my heart! It's quiet and small but works furiously to keep me alive! something like that anyway! It seemed to be a theme in my work quite a few years ago. It's about that tiny little whisper that keeps you focused on your dreams when everything else is shoving you in a different direction. It is the whisper of hope amidst despair. It kept me alive. I'm not sure but there's something so attractive to me about hummingbirds gathering nectar from flowers. Here it's like it's whispering in her ear. What would it be saying? I'm pretty happy with this work as simple as it is.
