As Ryan continioud on northwards looking for Cameron, he and Zan ended up traveling trough heavily forested land, where multiple problems laid on the path. Trouble arose when Ryan`s hunger caught up to him making him once again strugle to fight the urges to attack his monkey companion. Some of Zan`s callous antics also delayed their journey, making Ryan increasingly frustrated at having to repediatly save him from predators.
But things got a lot more dangerous, when the 2, to Ryan`s great suprise, came across a group of native human hunters who tried to spear Ryan to death and while trying to escape up a cliff an old foe,the crowned eagle, appeared and snatched Zan away.Now separated, Zan had to escape and evade the eagle on his own, while Ryan was spotted and had to escape the hunters again. The lead hunter seemed espeacially obbsed with slaying him, though at the time Ryan had no idea why.
No sooner was he rid of them, Ryan was attacked by tribe of the forest most agressive primates,chimpanzees.The great apes dragged him off to their leader Tarkor, a brutish, battled scared individual with an extreme hatred for humans. The leaders demand to kill the human on his own, gave Ryan the chance to escape, though not before having to fight him and baerly evade being strangled to death.
As night fell Ryan was finally able to catch his breath, after finally finding Zan the 2 had sneak by undetected when the human hunters appered again. Having feline like senses and good night vision proved decisive when Ryan spotted the chimpanzes closing by and lead them toward the hunters. Once the chimpanzees attacked the humans, the ensuring fight allowed Ryan and Zan to get away for good....
