First Comic All Comics :thumb329595283: Characters More Art Next Comic In case you aren't familiar, Ritchie the Ciccino appeared at the start and end of The Little Cub ; Chow-Chow herself can be seen on Lady's back in panel 4.
I actually don't know which birthday is is supposed to be - as he is raised my humans, Ritchie has a human-year birthday (once every 12 pokemon years). Hence, this should be his 12th birthday, although he's only five or six in-comic. I'm going to just leave this to a broken timeline though - I've not been able to keep Amizade steady for the past year or so. I wanted the Amizade-time to be parallel to the the time the comic has been going on, so it should be a year-and-a-half. Somehow, I've managed to get it almost 3 years ahead. That, mixed up with the whole pokemon-human year parallels just mixed it up. THis is going to get even worse due to the competition and wotnot.
I will probably go back to the bios and dial everybody's age back a year, or wait until the next year when they match up again. Hm.

When I started out the comic, I sort of split it into 'pokemon years' and 'human years', and pokemon aged about 12 times faster than humans. Depending on whether they were raised by humans on in the wild, they celebrated their birthday on pokemon years of human years. This means that while most of the characters were about 20-25, they were only really a few years old.
Since then I decided to remove humans so it's just anthro pokemon ageing like humans, which simplified the whole thing, but I've yet to go back and remove all the inconsistencies.

I just thought since every species of pokémon would need their own year measurement since many pokémon differ immensly in lifespan. An Absol, for example, would otherwise have the potential to become around twelve thousand pokémon years old. I just found the number humongous, but kinda entertaining at the same time. Just imagine some Absol saying something like "When I was young, we didn't have no wheels. We had to walk everywhere!"
