Description The ancient Egyptian Great Goddess Isis, depicted as mourning the death of Her husband Osiris, Whom She later brought back to life.  She is shown here in the pose typical of mourners in ancient Egyptian tomb paintings, with disheveled hair and stylized tears.

To replace an earlier Isis I painted for the World Goddess Oracle.

I really like all of your goddess paintings. I especially love how you managed to portray somewhat of the artistic style of each different culture, while at the same time maintaining your own style. They're lovely and there are so many gorgeous ones I couldn't possibly pick a favorite!

Oh thank you.  I always try to go back to the original culture for inspiration and authenticity; glad you could tell.

Definitely! I adore history and mythology, though there were a few on this list I had never heard of, particularly the African ones. I think I need to do a bit of reading about them because they look fascinating.

It should be set up as a print over there on the right; if you mean you'd like to buy the original, sorry, it's not for sale.
