Description Some of you might remember my "youngest baby" from late Autumn 2021:  www.deviantart.com/thanasianig…
who hatched as a fully grown female Dot Moth (version with brighter markings) - butterfly-conservation.org/mot… -, on Wednesday, April 13, 2022.

Since that day, I've been carrying this last capture of her in my sta-sh; partially not able to submit it, out of technical reasons, thanks to the "random submission glitch", my account is obviously still infected with, partially waiting for an affirmation, that she really is/was a Dot Moth, despite her caterpillar coloration having been "swapped" (light belly, dark back) from those caterpillar photos, I found online [check link above], ...

... well, thanks to the clinic's large library, I finally came across a textbook about Lepidopteran life from France to Austria, that answered my question: Both variants are valid Dot Moths (regardless of genders), the the "swap" of light and dark green hues is solely a habitat-related phenomenon - Western Europe = light back + dark belly // Eastern Europe = light belly + dark back ...!!
