Description

I'm finally able to post my entry for PopCross Studios' january community redraws, sadly it wasn't picked BUT you cab still see it at 14:54.

I love that channel and it's been an honor to appear.

Here's the bio on the creature:

Scientists still cannot come to an agreement on what kind of evolutionary path lead to the birth of the Viruloderma Vesciculatus (commonly know as the Slime Dragon... however they all agree on the fact that this beast is the greatest middle finger mother nature has ever thrown at everyone's capacity to keep their dinner down.

This bizarre slug-esque reptilian beast is a cave dweller and a static predator.

It crawls to the darkest corners of any cave it could find using its overgrown upper limbs and then stands still... as a matter of fact, it is able to stand still for months to feed off of the preys that its body attracts (hence the horribly atrophized legs); when no more preys are available, it simply moves to another place.

How does it attract its prey?

You see, this beast's body stores every single noxious agent it comes into contact with in the ichor contained within the massive blisters on its back and in its mouth; this ichor has four very important faculties:

-it's higly corrosive

-it's higly adhesive

-it glows brightly in the dark

-it smells horribly like a decomposing corpse

Deep within the bowels of the earth, the Slime Dragon draws in its preys looking to them like an easy and enticing meal only to then cover then in the slime its spits at them, preventing them from escaping and starting the digestive process even before swallowing them.

Does that disgust you? Not enough?

Well, then let me describe to you how it defends itself from the few creatures either stupid, big or both to attack it.

You see, in between its blisters, the back of the Slime Dragon sprouts various razor-sharp quills... however, those are not intended to harm the attacker... no... by flexing its muscles, the Dragon uses the quills to slash open its own blisters to cover itself in its ichor, making itself a disgusting, toxic, slimy pile of NOPE!

Don't worry, though, the injuries on the blisters close quickly enough to prevent the loss of any vital fluid and soon enough they are full of sludge once again...

TLDR: ew!
