Update 3: If you are using/trying to use/gave up on using Thanemod, and have been getting errors when trying to run ME3Explorer to add .mods and .tpfs (textures), please post on the me3 explorer forums : me3explorer.freeforums.org/

PLEASE STATE:

A. That you are using ThaneMod

B. What version of ME3 Explorer you are using. Even if it is the one that ThaneMod came with. The version is an old & outdated version of ME3 Explorer, & likewise has become the major suspect to the issues being reported on the forums since ThaneMod was released.

Update 2: It is highly recommended that you use the ME3 Explorer that comes with the Thane Mod. More updated versions of ME3 Explorer oddly don't seem to work. Otherwise, everything seems to be fine. For me personally, I just can't get any other mods I've been using to work with it, but that just appears to be capability issue beyond my control.

Nearly a year in development and the Thane Mod is finally released.

Quoting from the Thane Mod tumblr master post:

"The content in ThaneMODv1.0 is organized for you into 5 install packages, each tailored to your gender (friend aspects of this mod are compatible with male Shepard), romance status, ending type or lore preferences. All you have to do is choose the one that suits you best. We’ve also included a final package (v1.0F) containing all content for those of you want to mix and match as you see fit - just keep in mind it requires a lengthier, manual installation.

Below is a list of each package and the modules it contains.

v1.0A | Standard Core module for the ME3 Extended Cut
This is the simplest installation of ThaneMOD. Thane avoids the coup, and returns in the epilogue, similar to the other squadmates from Mass Effect 2. Suitable for a friend or romanced Shepard, but lacks all story and game enhancements present in other packages.

v1.0B | Enhanced Core module for the ME3 Extended Cut, Emails War Assets & Codex, Friend Improvements, Huerta Music, Credit Music
Friend-centric installation of ThaneMOD. In addition to avoiding the coup, Thane’s illness is also treated in a lore-centric manner.

v1.0C | Enhanced Core module for the ME3 Extended Cut, Emails War Assets & Codex, Romance Improvements, Huerta Music, Credit Music
Romance-centric installation of ThaneMOD. In addition to avoiding the coup, Thane’s illness is also treated in a lore-centric manner. His romance is expanded and new story elements are added.

v1.0D | Enhanced Core module for the Mass Effect Happy Ending Mod, Emails War Assets & Codex, Friend Improvements, Huerta Music, Credit Music
Identical to v1.0B, but explicitly for MEHEM compatibility. MEHEM credits music change is optional.

v1.0E | Enhanced Core module for the Mass Effect Happy Ending Mod, Emails War Assets & Codex, Romance Improvements, Huerta Music, Credit Music
Identical to v1.0C, but explicitly for MEHEM compatibility. MEHEM credits music change is optional.

v1.0F | All Modules (full manual installation)

Update 1: Apparently there is an issue with ME3 Explorer, which is used for certain elements of the mod, and it's apparently effecting more than just the Thane Mod. When this issue is rectified, I'll add here.
