Well, originally she was just a little evil muse-like character. As was Luminita. Then she was changed to be more of a spiritual guardian for the main character. It wasn't until a lot later that she was given a real lifetime. Her current being is god-assassin watching over the main character in case he gets out of control. As you might guess, she's specialized in dark magic. ;]
