Description
A species of alien that evolved from worm-kings; the tangling of worms in overpopulated territories. With the planet's previous inhabitants extinct, they were free to grow and populate in their mostly barren planet of rich soil. They are peaceful with no reason for war but there is a large division of beliefs among them. The northern species are highly religious, believing those with fewer eyestalks are more in tune with themselves and the Gods, while those southern study the sciences, believing the more eye-stalks you have, the more intelligent you are.

The scientific data collected are quite humorous as they're a very ignorant species. We had learned that they had never had natural enemies such as birds during their evolutionary development, so everything to them is worm-based. For example we had been touring one of their underground museums and recognized a fossil specimen as some sort of avian similar to those back on Earth. The illustration next to it was a very rigid-looking worm with their wings being mistaken for eye-stalks and head as an extended mouth. They were described as greedy folk who would use their mouths to scoop up mounds of dirt but were limited to only move in one direction due to their structure. We were laughed out of the building after trying to explain what birds were.
