Description

Here are my headcanons on Earth ponies, Unicorns, and Pegasi

Earth pony

· Full bred Earth ponies usually are strong work horses, like the Apple family. That doesn't include all Earth ponies but most are stronger than the other species.

· Earth ponies have magic in them, but not as much as unicorns or even pegasi, their magic makes them better at growing plants and gives them the ability to have to sleep less than other species.

· Earth ponies fur may be long but they aren't that fluffy.

· Usually their hooves are a darker color than their coat, or it may be a whole different color.

· Some Earth ponies have a habit of bucking when they get spooked, especially ones that buck trees for a living, they are just so used to it they can't help it.

Unicorn

· Full bred unicorns usually have a long tail, and cloven hooves.

· Unicorns have a lot more magic than Earth ponies and Pegasi, Unicorns channel their magic through their horns and use it in many ways.

· The size of their horn does affect their magic, if they have a longer horn they can very easily use their magic and usually master spells faster. If their horn is shorter, they can still have very powerful magic, they just can't use it as well.

· They usually have a short coat but will let the fur above their hooves grow to look more "fashionable", and that is really the only place their fur can grow long.

· Their horns are pretty strong to withstand powerful spells but can be destroyed by another being. It takes a lot of force to even crack a horn, so it is very hard to destroy an entire horn, but it isn't impossible.

· Unicorns do not really like to cuddle and are more no touchy than most ponies, if anypony invades their personal space they will not be happy

Pegasus

· Pegasi have some feathers on their shoulders, this is the reason for them being very fluffy.

· When Pegasi are feeling happy they have a habit of rubbing their muzzle, chest, wings, and flank, on whatever they want to, they have no regard for personal space.

· Preening is very important to Pegasi, they have to do it to keep their wings healthy and help them fly better. It is hard for Pegasi to get their own wings preened so it isn't uncommon to have another Pegasi help. It can be a friendly thing, or a romantic thing, just depends on the relationship between the pony preening and the pony getting their wings preened.

· Their magic is in their wings, those two wings couldn't hold up a Pegasus by themself but the magic helps them fly, and helps them fly fast.

· Usually how fast a Pegasus can fly depends on the size on their wings but also has to do with the magic in their wings, but a Pegasus with small wings but a lot of magic will still most likely fly slower than a Pegasus with large wings and little magic.

These can vary, if a unicorn and a Pegasus had a foal, it wouldn't have just the characteristics of a unicorn even if it was born a unicorn. And even a purebred Pegasus could be more like an earth pony if they wanted, this is just the usual, not every pony will go by these.
