I agree with you on that- I usually sculpt hair anymore XD. Ponies are awesome but they take more time than LPS (generally) since they are bigger!
BTW check your messages, I have a question!

WHOA! You do get the awesome metallic colors, don't you? ^^ She's gorgeous, and I love love LOVE what you did with her fins.
Love the tail design - I've been planning on something similar as far as the curve goes, but it'll be different as far as the end result goes.
Hmm. Plaster of Paris inside, eh? There's an idea. I have two WIP mer's on my workbench, but both are trying to tip, and I've not even finished the underlying layer of clay, much less added the scales. I kinda dread what the shipping would be, though not tipping is always good. XD Heavy pony, coming through! ;D
What are you using for the wire mesh base? I've been using both 1/4" chicken wire with aluminum foil inside it, and I have some window screening that I'm considering as an alternative.

Thanks sweetie! Actually, I wasn't gonna make her so shiny, but she just kinda... evolved. Like a pokemon- to SHINYMON!!!
Yeah I learned to put plaster of paris inside vinyl garage kits, because it helps it stand. Once I got her tail on she REALLY wanted to fall over so I thought, hey, might as well try! and it worked great!! It did make her pretty heavy- but with all that sculpting she already weighed a ton. Thank goodness for flat rate shipping! LOL
I use mesh similar to this: [link] I got it at Hobby Lobby. I also used aluminum foil as well on her. I've tried window screening but MAN O MAN can that stuff eat up your fingers!
