Here is Narcissa, my first Merpony (Hippocampus!). She was quite an undertaking, but I wanted to make something awesome for Hannaliten.

Her base was a G3 My Little Pony who got her back half chopped off, and her tail is completely sculpted from the mid-back down with apoxie over a wire mesh base. Scales were then placed one at a time, as well as over her body. And fins!! She has LOTS of fins! She then had plaster poured into her to make her a little more balanced, then primered and airbrushed and hand-painted with artist acrylics. She has about 10 different iridescent colors going on- mostly Creatix opalescent colors but some Lumiere paints as well. She was then sealed and glittered, and sealed again. She was rehaired with Dollyhair's Death by Bougainvillea. Her base I whitewashed a pine base, added sand, translucent Sculpey for the waves, tiny seashells, then added the water effect with clear resin. It was really hard to get a good picture of the base- but it looks really awesome.
