Authorities in Perth reported a giant object in the sea slowly heading for land, and it was immediately assumed to be a kaiju. Submarines moved to intercept but, as should be expected, torpedoes did little to halt its relentless approach. Depth charges armed with nuclear warheads were considered, but it was already too close to land. As the gargantuan sea monster closed in on Perth, a second, smaller bleep appeared on the sonar. As the giant beast set foot on land, it was suddenly hit from behind by a crackling blue beam. The Ion Destroyer left a scorching mark on its shoulder, and it let out a roar of pain. Before it could retaliate, Orcadire grabbed its tail and pulled it back into the ocean. Still not fully recovered from the fight in São Paulo, Orcadire would be at a significant disadvantage on land, but underwater his speed allowed him to avoid the slow but absolutely devastating attacks by the colossus. The submarines carefully corralled the kaiju struggle until they were far enough from land for the nuclear depth charges to be deployed. Another Ion Destroyer hit the sea monster right in the eye, stunning it long enough for the nukes to hit their mark and end it.
