Unfortunately I was never able to witness whatever it was to make fans work Ratchet over with the snakes. But I love it just as much!
I've been in the same kind of situation, only in reverse.

*snerk* I swear, ever since the Marvel comic featuring Ratchet tangling with a snake, people have exploited this disgust/fear of his. love the comical exaggeration with Ratchet being so high and far from the "snake".

Oh yeah, from very early on when Ratchet's finding the Dinobots in the Savage Land. A huge python drops on him from a tree and tries to strangle 'im XD
And in the cartoon, it's Starscream who suffers the same thing XDD

I remember that episode! I have it! I think it's hilarious.
So they replaced Ratchet with Starscream or the other way around.
Oh goodness! I've gotta find what issue had that in it. I wanna see Ratchet get attacked by the snake.

There's no replacing going on anywhere, both situations are canon. I figure since Ratchet doesn't get exploited all that much he gets to have the fan-accepted fear of snakes XD
