This photo sparks many thoughts. Mostly about our own short lives. That our time here is borrowed. That no matter what we do or what we build for ourselves, it doesn't last. For as grand as our creations can be, they are so small and limited compared to nature. Someone once lived here and called this place home. I wonder if my own home will someday be viewed like this.

I love this series, but I think I like this one best. It seems to me that the angle is superior on this one, as well as the way the rusted pieces of tin roof are lying toward the camera. Nice job!

my mom's folks are from this area.... for all i know, this could've been a relative's home.... they had some that looked kinda like this.... in much better shape back in the day, though.

Do you know the history of any of the buildings you have photographed.

Our small history group has just started to take an interest in ours and we are trying to get in touch with the elderly in the area to get their stories before it is too late.
