Description Welcome to the Metro Bus Sign Series, where you will witness the bus signs combining the past with the present and the future. In this installment, we take a look at Local Limited Line 354. Dubbed as "The Vermont Avenue Limited" Line, the 354 was one of the few routes that runs the entire length on one street [Vermont Avenue], was one of the local limited lines to run on weekdays, and ran alongside the 204 from station to station -- between Vermont/Sunset Metro Red Line Station and then-Vermont/I-105 Freeway Station [now known as the Vermont/Athens Station]. The 354 had since been replaced by the Metro Rapid 754 in December 2002  -- see Lines 204 & 754 for more details. This line was so busy, it had to be upgraded to a Metro Rapid Line, and just like the Metro Rapid predecessor, the 354 operated w/ limited stop services; however, there were a few more stops for the 354, whereas the 754 would only be making stops at major intersections.
