Description I love to create swords because they can be done rather fast.
This is one of my first swords with focus on materials and self made HDRI environment maps.

Great sword! I am working on designing a Logo/splash screen/business card for my churches Men's group and was wondering if I go in a certain direction, if I might could use this sword (cut and pasted into the design? Full credit to you on the sword if wanted/needed. I can also be contacted at don.durante.jr@gmail.com

It's beautiful!!!

I feel inspired by this! If I draw a paladin, would you be able to use this sword design? (Reference to you, of course )

Holy shit! I would be honoured if you did!
This was one of my first attempts at SubD Modelling and is actually totally random, heh

@Link5794: You probably won't see this, but oh well. This was obviously not designed to be remotely realistic, as The-5 has stated. Furthermore, not all broadswords have basket hilts. In fact, the term broadsword can cover a wide variety of weapons including arming swords, various forms of the Chinese Dao, and most of the longer swords used by Norse and Celtic civilizations. Whilst you have the right to an opinion, and the right to share it, the least you could do is be a little more intelligent about it.

Also, the pommel looks to light to effectively balance the weapon, and based on the thin hilt, the tang of this thing cannot be sturdy enough to be an effective weapon. Look at that thing! There's no way that would hold up in a fight!

I hope you dont mid but:
#1: This work of mine is older than 2 years
#2: The description say it was one of my first "swords"
#3: The description also states that this projects goal was the testing of materials and HDRI environments
#4: It was never the goal to create a virtual copy of existing or even a functional sword
#5: Feel free to check some of my other works that are more likely beleivable swords (even though they are also rather old): [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link]

Ofcouse a artist should have a good understanding of the object he is trying to recreate so he can make it beleivable.
This one however, was solely some random modeling that turned out to look like a sword.

That is a nice weapon and all, but there's just a few problems with the name. First off, that is far too short to be a sword. What you have there is clearly a dagger. Second, even if it was long enough to be a sword, it would not be a broadsword. A broadsword has a basket-shaped hilt. Go to [link] and read some of the other articles on the site so people can stop getting things wrong and I can retire.

This is an excellent design, but I'm not sure about the hilt. ANyway, if I were to score it out of 5, 4/5
