Haha, I totally misread the deadline and thought it was tomorrow @_@; Luckily I caught the mistake in time. Even luckier, this page was already finished.Which is insanely good. Because this page hates me. Especially the middle panel. And the top one.
I don't dislike the end results, I just had a hard time with the linework. Either I got nitpicky about it, or else it just kept turning out badly. Eventually I got something I liked and kept it.
It's interesting to note that the final reaction Sy's having to his breakdown in this case is one of two, perhaps three, possible reactions. The other's involve a complete, utter breakdown that leaves Sy a trembling, terrified mess incapable of really doing anything, while the other is... Uhm... More disturbing.
As for this reaction... It is actually the least dramatic one, and has more to do with Asylum's Denial tendencies than anything else...

He's been getting it for years. Unfortunately, although progress has been made, it's been very, very slow progress. Asylum's NEVER gonna really ever be completely ok again, it's really just a fact... Sometimes once someone's mind is broken, it's, just, well, broken.

Yup. That incapability is a result of Asylum's main psychological ailment, a condition called Oneirophrenia (here's a link if you want more info, it's quite fascinating- [link] )

... Let's just say... What Asylum has when it comes to his past... Well, he doesn't necessarily have true amnesia, but something slightly different...
He actually was a worse mess at one point. It's taken 12 years, but he's slowly beginning to get a tiny bit better. He'll never totally recover or be able to truly function properly on his own, but at least he's semi-lucid at times now. He retreated completely into his own mind for a few years in the beginning...
