Here are several reasons why the Great Race was completely unfair:1 electric engine against 4 steam engines
2 French(ish) engines against 3 English engines.
3 Gresley Pacifics engines against 2 other engines
4 streamlined engines against 1 regular engine.
And the race track is a circle meaning Eteinne has to travel much further and Shooting Star much less.

I wouldn't compare it to steroids but surely they should have been some rules about what modifications are allowed and motive power.
Considering that Spencer, Axel and sort of Etienne are streamlined, it not really cheating for Gordon to be streamlined.
I don't think it was fair that Etienne was racing through.

Yeah, the strength competition was pulling a single flat bed DOWN a hill.
The Great Race was on a single loop track meaning Etienne had to travel much further than the others.
The shunting race... so many reasons that don't need to said again.
The Best Decorated Engine Parade seemed to by the only fair event.

actually even though Etienne was on the outside line and he also had to go further, it means he can go faster without fear of derailing as it isnt as sharp a curve as the other engines
