Chained in a corner of the interrogation room, Sonia was watching helplessly as her husband was tortured. She saw him writhing in pain, hanging by his feet, naked, while the whip fell again and again. With each blow, Richard moaned, his cries were muffled by a gag. It was just for sadistic pleasure that the guards were punishing him in the middle of the night, in order to deprive the two lovers of a little sleep.

Desperate, Sonia dared to implore for her husband. The guards had forbidden her to speak, except in case of interrogation. In tears, she begged them, promised to them her total submission. But the guards sneered at her terror. One of the men with a cruel look grabbed her by the hair and forced her to raise her head.

"Look at your husband, look at him suffering because of you. When we are done with him, you will take his place... And it will be him who will whip you, docile as a good dog."
