I really like the idea of this artwork: A wizard who creates new creatures through drawing them! I'm sure that would motivate many, many people to start drawing
Heh, I always wished my creatures will come to live as soon as I finished them
The drawing itself also looks great, I like especially the shineness of the dragon and how you've drawn the fiery eye.
Only critique would be the colors: right now everything is somehow in a redish color-tone and the dragon kind of get lost there. It would have looked probably better if the stones were more blueish (or had at least some grass or something) and the dragon would glow more- but I know it's difficult to draw a glowing dragon

Thank you. I can see what you mean. Adding grass in a lava cave would look weird. It would probably be better to just alter the hue a bit.

Yeah- maybe you can give the stone more than just one color- lava-stones tend to be more blackish, actually (right now it look more like a desert cave)

I think this one deserve to be more refined than I originally made it. I think it is much better now, but I'm still think of taking it to conceptart.org for them to critique.

Hmm.. maybe you can give it a higher contrast or something? I still think the dragon looks a little bit too dull for being out of lava and stones..
Also I think black stones around the dragon would give a nice variation in the color (maybe like this one here: [link] or [link] )
Also I think there is something wrong with the lower jaw- I'm not quite sure what. I think it's a little bit to large for the upper jaw, maybe..
Yup! Taking it to conceptart is a good idea, if you want to get more critiques, but it might take some time to be noticed there..
I'm not sure, but I think there is also a critique-group here on DA, maybe you can join them?

I don't like saying this, but I just realized that the image was flawed on the sketch stage and that it would now be very hard to go back and make it right. I'm going to leave it as it is now.

It would be probably possible to change some things with the liquidy-tool or the smudge tool, but it's of course up to you if want to change it or not
