Description

My third Non-Disney Repaint and also one of my favorite animated movie characters!

Anastasia used to be a 12" Disney Store Classic Cinderella doll (2014). I also own the original Galoob Anastasia doll but I really despise her head mold!!! It's terrible. I think Cinderella works even better than the original Anastasia doll.

I cut Cinderellas bangs and rooted a new one that would fit Anastasia better. Afterwards I dyed her hair with acrylics and only brushed out the paint. Then I glued her hair to kinda match the hairstyle she has in the movie when she's wearing that dress.

Her face was repainted completely with artist acrylic paints and water color crayons for the blush.

I also molded a new necklace for her.

It was a lot of fun to work on her (enjoyed it way more than when I tried working on the Galoob doll) and I hope you'll like her as much as I do!

Thank you!
Boiling water and acrylic paints. Only brushed out the paint afterwards, otherwise it fades out of the hair if you treat it with water again. Anyway, I wouldn't consider it 'hair' anymore It's like stone. But due to her hairstyle it would be like that either way if it would be usual doll hair and I'd treated it with hairspray. In this case I used glue to keep her hair in place.

Oh, cool

Yeah, half the time their hair practically is stone since there's so much hairspray

Yeah, it would be hard to style with it soft...

Galoob dolls have stunning clothes, but their bodies are not and, unfortunately, they barely fit any other doll; so, did you just change the head of your Anastasia doll of did you modify her dress?

..I had some struggles with her tiara though as the Galoob head is a little smaller than the Cinderella head. I had to heat it a little so it would be flexible.

Right, also, there were some string keeping it on the head, so it must be hard fixing: I recently restored a Dream Waltz Anastasia and I struggled a lot to keep her crown tied to the hair!

I feared that too but surprisingly the dress fits as if it was never supposed to be worn by any other body! The length is perfect as well!

This is great, so I can rebody some of my Anastasia dolls to get rid of their loose joints

I think so.^^ But the neck of the Galoob Anastasia is a liiiittle bit thinner than the Disney Store ones. But the heads are flexible, so I guess it should work anyway.

Maybe boiling the head and making the vinyl softer can help that... otherwise, a careful carving might help.

I'd boil the head either way to prevent that little plasting thingy inside the neck from breaking.^^
