Because there is no kill quite like overkill. So what happens when you go browsing for cool sprites, you see a couple and then you suddenly think back to your past when you did some stupidly overpowered fan-forms? Well in my case I decided it was time to revisit an old concept and do some truly busted forms. Now first I should say that all the credit for the sprite-work on this AF SS4 and SS5 Goku goes to mpadillathespriter who did a truly excellent job with this. As someone who really doesn't do pixel art I am forever in awe at the insane work that goes into these. I am also very sorry for what I did to these sprites because these things look absolutely ridiculous. So for context, what you have before you are two forms based on concepts I did way back in the day after I was inspired by an old friend of mine by the name of Thunderstudent. Basically, the idea for this form was this. Since SSB was basically just someone going Super Saiyan while using God Ki instead of their regular reserves and since Ultra Instinct was a technique that was heavily teased as being something Goku could just use with his other forms if necessary? It led to the creation of Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Mastered Ultra Instinct 4 AKA SSGSSMUI4 AKA SSBMUI4 AKA MUISSGSS4 or as I will refer to it for ease of memory? Super Saiyan Ultra which... okay not the best name but look at this thing, we're not exactly running off logic here are we?

At the time, all we had in terms of most recent transformations was Super Saiyan Blue Evolution and Mastered Ultra Instinct but now as you all may know from Super continuing in manga form? We now have even more to it with forms such as the likes of Ultra Ego so I decided that because there was an SS5 sprite in the original image that I was going to take this beyond that and I would make something where Goku is shown utilizing Ultra Instinct AND Ultra Ego (Don't ask how this makes sense please, it really, REALLY doesn't and will make your brain hurt.), SSBE and SS5 which leads us to... Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Evolved Mastered Ultra Instinct Ego 5 AKA SSGSSEMUIE5 or as I prefer to call it because again holy crap is that name a mouthful... Super Saiyan Ultimate. Then I thought to myself "But wait! This can go even further BEYOND!" and decided to do Kaioken variants because why not make what is unmistakably a couple of dumb and broken transformations even MORE busted? As a result, here we are now and overall? I'm happy with how this stupid idea came out.

And I do mean this is dumb. I'll be frank, I never want to see Goku use something like this in Dragon Ball proper because... well look at this thing. Also one might wonder why I did this because if they've seen some of my earlier works? They'd know I'm not really fond of SS4 anyway and that I'm also... well kind of not the biggest fan of most fan designs for transformations. Does this mean I'm hypocritical? Well yes and no. I've made it clear that indeed I'm not a big fan of SS4 but the thing is, my issue has always primarily been with it in terms of how it was handled in GT proper and Goku's look for it specifically which mostly comes down to me not really digging the color of the fur. That being said? It is a part of Dragon Ball history and I love seeing it in the games so of course I'm gonna use it for something absurd like this. As for the bit about fan-forms? Well it's kind of a similar deal. To me there are two ways I grade fan-forms. The first is if it's made for fun? I'd go easy on it because the world of fanart to me is about going as wild as possible with these franchises. One of my biggest sources of irritation will always, ALWAYS be seeing someone share something that they put effort into and had fun with and they get bombarded with comments that are not at all constructive about the work itself and are just about how the concept itself can't work and how it "breaks canon" when the whole point was to just have fun with it. That doesn't mean necessarily that criticism itself is suddenly taboo but in that case it'd be more focused around how the art was done and what could've been done to improve it. When forms like this get thrown into a story or someone parades these things as being what we "should get"? That's when the more critical side of my brain kicks in and I start breaking down all the ways the transformation doesn't work.

With that in mind? I did this for the sake of fun and entertainment. Dragon Ball is at its best when it's not taken overly seriously and I feel especially in a crapsack decade like the 2020s? We all could use some fun in our lives.
