FINALLY. FINISHED.This is my OC, Lord Shin'a'thel'en'dros.
Looking at this on my laptop which has a darker monitor, I can see a couple things that need touching up. Some of the layers aren't as clean as I thought and there's lots of white bits that I missed around outlines... The colours looks so much better on my desktop too... agyhjgbjhbg. ALAS! I'll update it later T3T
Have I mentioned lately, I. Hate. Drawing. Guys. OTL
I fail hardcore at anatomy, and I know the arms are awful and too big/long DX
I'm happy with his boots though if that counts for anything? XD

looks good, I know what pic you reffed from, I've seen it.
His outfit reminds me of my character Eldaron's outfit (Of course very different colors and other big differences.. the waist cloak is similar though XD)

You should be happy with this piece, it's looking good. The arm aren't that much of a big deal in my humble opinion. If he's supposed to have a muscular figure, then you did a great job. I'm more hung up on his face, that to me look very feminime.
I love the clothign design though, and the knotwork patterns all over is great. And the belt is so pretty!

I know you've heard this before, but it's just a matter of practice, practice and practice! I can recomend using reference pictures; I couldn't do without them!

For what it's worth, the length of the arms look fine to me. I will agree that they seem a bit large for him, but the rest of it looks fantastic. It came out great!

Imma' have to get unlazy and touch it up. But m'thinking I should just install OC and my tablet on the laptop so I can see the problem areas clearly.

you can't see them well with photoshop [i'm assuming]? you can create another layer under everything but above the white bg... a burgundy or something... and only have the one layer you're working with showing. you'd then be able to see what's got white, and you can do a small feather wand on it... maybe 2-3 pixels. or just trace carefully with a freehand.
it's interesting, this lets me know a little about how you work. or more specifically, i know that you work differently than i've ever done, because i've never gotten white outlines on specific elements like that.

I was using Open Canvas 4 actually, but the same sort of technique should work.
Some of the brushes leave a sort of digital residue behind when you erase-- I wonder if that's what caused it =/

oh, painter does that with some brush types when it's on the normal layer thing... that's likely what did it.
