Description Done on a whim. Besides being a color reference for the PokΓ©mon I will be entering, I'll use this space to say a little bit more about them.

First of all, they are pictured in order of height, not including things like horns and ears. Notes on their height comparison:
*Zangoose is about a head shorter than Soren
*Maybell is the same height as Zangoose, not counting their ears or her head puff
*Charlotte is about 7/8 the size of Maybell, not counting ears and horns
*Machop is just a few centimeters shorter than Charlotte
*Jaquette is about the same size as Machop, but her large head-fin makes her look smaller
*Although Speedy is only about a decimeter high, he is over two meters long
(Please note that these pictures are not really to scale.)

Color-wise, remember that Charlotte and Jaquette are both Shiny

Maybell wears noise-suppressing head-phones, which makes her hearing equivalent to that of a normal PokΓ©mon or human. She takes them off if she can't see her opponent; her raw hearing is so acute that she can hear a heart beat from a surprising distance.

In addition to red front paws, Zangoose has scars across his chest, down the left side of his face, and along his right hip. His tail is longer than he is tall, and is very full and fluffy.

In close-up face shots, both Charlotte and Jaquette have eyelashes

Jaquette can be distinguished from other Banette by her bust and curvy, flowing head wisp

Unlike the rest of their species, Zangoose has green eyes, Maybell has aqua eyes, and Speedy has gray eyes

Remember: although no one hardly ever draws it, Machop does have a tail. It's like a dinosaur tail, blunt and tapered.

Every team member has a favorite attack that they will use if allowed to choose. They are as follows:
Zangoose - Crush Claw
Maybell - Shadow Ball
Charlotte - Energy Ball
Machop - Cross Chop
Jaquette - Will o Wisp
Speedy - Quick Attack

If any of my opponents, or people who are just interested, have any other further questions about my team-mates, ask me here and I'll address them.

hmm?how come Machop doesn't have a unique nickname?

Neither does my Zangoose. I only give PokΓ©mon nicknames if it enhances their personalities; in the cases of Machop and Zangoose, I think their species name sums their characters up quite well.

Quick question, is Soren not a fan of using pokeballs? I noticed in your first round, everyone was already out.

No he's not; all of them have Pokeballs, but he only make them return if they faint, or the entire troop is in a building with limited space. Otherwise, he feels that they'll become better battlers and team-mates if they watch each others matches.

Outside of battle, Zangoose and Speedy (the Furret) are out the most often. Zangoose is the only Pokemon who can talk, and so acts as a co-battle tactician and foil to Soren. Speedy is comic relief, and is usually wrapped around Soren's shoulders. (Contrary to official concept art, Furret is supposed to be around 6 feet (2 meters) long, so I always draw him like that.)

Delicious Eye Candy!

I think I'd love to fight against Maybell and Jaquette. The first to make use of her acute hearing, the second simply because I love Ghost Pokemon and Jaquette looks so pretty.

Speedy is meant to be the comic relief of my team, so it's a good thing he's doing his job~

That's really cute! I like how you did the shapes for colors you used on each teammate. This is gonna be a fun tournament.

Probably Speedy and Zangoose! :] I'd like to see how Speedy uses its... well... speed, and I love Zangoose and can't wait to see it kick ass.

And if I get paired up with you, I'm totally going Banette vs. Banette :3

Ha looks like this'll be fun for you!

Nice idea with the shinies...but inspeaking of shinies...didja know in 3d games Shiny Gengars are Dark Black as apposed to the different shade of purple in the 2d games? It surprized me a bit when I saw the difference.

The-Blue-Pangolin In reply to Bombkirby [2008-10-16 23:37:11 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, I'm certainly hoping it will be. Half of that will be determined by whether I get an interesting opponent or not.

Hmm. I'll stick with this color; a black Gengar would be just a little too creepy for me.

The-Blue-Pangolin In reply to Bombkirby [2008-10-17 00:40:59 +0000 UTC]

Yes, aside from color and eyelashes, there aren't too many things you can change about a Gengar to make it feminine. Its not like I can give boobs to her like I did to Jaquette.

Bombkirby In reply to The-Blue-Pangolin [2008-10-18 21:23:46 +0000 UTC]

Lol yeah. Color, I guess, is pretty important when trying to show a Gengar's gender.

Hey, awesome! I love how the colors are different shapes for each of them
Are your Zengoose's sacrs drawn as red markings? Or does he has like, furless pink scars?

I think it shoulda been manditory to draw your team :/ After all, the stars of this contest are pokemon, not trainers! The pokemon will be the ones that the comics will focus on, not the people.

I'm kinda pisses that I took all that time to draw refs for my team, and they still only linked my trainer, which is the least important ref to see. DX

The-Blue-Pangolin In reply to Iron-Zing [2008-10-16 21:57:03 +0000 UTC]

"Zengoose's sacrs"? XD

No, it's red fur. They really aren't scars of the skin so much as where the fur was stained by Seviper's poison.

Hmm. Is there a set max to how many pics someone can show in a single journal entry? Just make sure that you have links to all of them from your Trainer's reference page.

I gotta say Maybell. I've always had a love for Clefable, and it'll be just so cool seeing that thing kick butt.
