Description
I needed a break after finishing Princess Celestia (securing organza to 12 feet of wire will really take it out of you), so I decided to work on a new pattern. Here is the first of several sitting baby ponies I'll have available at BronyCon. She stands (sits?) 12 inches tall, is made from minky and has machine embroidered eyes. Her diaper is removable, and secures with Velcro. Twilight also has a magnet in her mouth, so she'll be able to hold an accessory (probably Spike's egg for extra d'awwww
).I am soooo happy with how she turned out! I gave her head a bit of an upwards tilt so she's looking at you when you go to pick her up. I know she's not sized right in comparison to my other ponies, but I wanted a good hugging size rather than teeny tiny cuteness.
I will be making Celestia, Luna, Applejack, and Derpy, with other characters as well if I can find time.

Loving the design here, really tempting to buy a whole set. I can respect where you're going with the size of these babies, most plushies I have are a little on the small size for a proper bear hug. Build a Bear makes theirs the perfect size though...
I'm hoping this pattern will fit on the back of my Camelbak; that's what I was thinking of when I commissioned the baby AJ from you. Having a baby pony bouncing around while I'm walking around the convention halls.

Fantastic! I'm not sure if I'm going to do all the Mane 6, Twilight was actually the prototype; I just happened to have a lot of lavender minky lying around so I used it. She turned out so good I decided to finish her up. Rainbow Dash would be quite a challenge with her mane in such a small size, even if I simplified it. I might, though, just for the d'awww factor of having all of them together.
She'll probably fit on the back of a CamelBak, as she fits comfortably in your arms without being overwhelming. She's perfect to tuck into the crook of your arm, if that tells you relative overall size. I'm double and triple stitching the hand-sewing areas so they should stand up to some serious snuggles, although she's still not meant for children (or be picked up by her tail).
I'm getting the embroidery knocked out today for the initial batch I've got planned, and first up are the AJs! One with all black eyes, and one with green eyes. Plus fritters!
