He finally got a good look at the thief. The shoplifter was a kid no older than 14 or 15, he was scrawny, the young Darkling looked wider when he was chasing him but he could now see it was the kids hoodie that was much too large for him his left sleeve had a patch were the elbow bends, and the shirt underneath had tears in it. He was wearing shorts that cut off just above the knees and worn out old sneakers, Kyle noticed right away that the kid’s wings were strange. Darklings had bat like wings but his were weird. Small, Shriveled, and deformed resembling boney fingers with tattered cloth hanging from them. His fur was a light brown and his face had a star shaped pattern a middle point between his eyes connecting at his forehead and two points stretching along his face meeting at his cheeks then connecting below his chin. There was also a mark on the left side of his face. Kyle thought it was dirt at first, but he realized it was a birth mark a large dark patch with five spots freckled in a messy pattern.
