Thanks for this! You should update this though. I use Photoshop CS5 and in the first step when you're using the adjustment layer, you should mention to check the legacy box. That's how you get the star field effect.

hey when u work what resolution do you work at? my star fields look great only when im not working at high resolution on a big picture. otherwise the stars look good at full view but when i resize the image for the web they can hardly be seen. do you know a way to get same effect when working at 300 resolution?
