Jericho is a stoic looking man, he likes his environments to be spotless or near to before he can focus on the task at hand. Once comfortable he can be very polite to patrons and strangers until they ask his opinion and he will give them a very straight forward answer, the other person can take this however they wish.

He will answer stupid comments or questions with well practiced sarcasm and a perfect poker face, often times folks find it hard to tell whether Jericho is joking or not.
Unless engaged by someone he won’t talk much, he much prefers the company of a good book and his pokemon.

When not working Jericho is rather quiet, he is quite shy around strangers. However, around friends he becomes more outspoken, more likely to crack a very dry joke. He cares for those he considers friends, writing their birthdays and other important dates in his calendar so he never forgets, he will make notes on favourite foods and hobbies so that he can buy someone the perfect gift. He is more affectionate through actions than words. When with his family he likes to help out his parents with chores and errands, Jericho often becomes a mother hen when his brother is around, fretting over his behaviour and making sure he’s making good decisions in life.

When given the chance to talk about his passions, please be prepared for an excitable lecture that may last for at least 30 minutes to over an hour, though he will be quite flustered afterwards since he just info dumped and not everyone wants to listen to that.

History:

Jericho Rockflare was born into a small family that resided in Mossdeep city in the Hoenn region. It was himself, his lunatone father, a solrock mother and a younger solrock brother. The two siblings were quite the opposite of each other, the solrock being very extroverted, whereas Jericho liked to keep to himself. He often opted for reading and exploring nearby the city to study pokemon. On one of these adventures, he met his companion pokemon, a small skitty which he called “Moonpie”. He dubbed her this because she was round and sweet, much like the sweet treats served on the lunar new year.

Jericho grew up as your typical shy book nerd, he had a few friends and he was happy with that. Popularity never really appealed to him like it did to his brother. The lunatone often dreamed of a nice quiet life, maybe owning a little shop or something. However since he was quite close with his family, he didn’t want to leave just yet and decided to stay in Mossdeep city.

After high school Jericho wanted to pursue his love for literature in its entirety and took up studying for a masters degree in the arts. He managed to finish his degree, now all he had to do was get a job that involved his passion. As a young adult he bounced around different jobs to get by, mostly book stores and printing companies, nothing really stuck with him, when he was around 30 he found a job he quite enjoyed, a librarian at the city’s local library.

After a few years of working in the local library, which he loved but he slowly started to feel unfulfilled. He wasn’t entirely sure as to why. He soon discovered that he just wasn’t doing anything with his life, his current routine was repetitive and dull, maybe he needed a change of scenery. One day he was talking to the head librarian. They had heard of this little place called Raccolto, from what they had been told they believed it to be a quaint area with lots of farms and local businesses. It sounded perfect to the lunatone. Jericho made the impulse decision to pack up his belongings and move there, with the blessing of his folks he soon arrived at the group of islands and bought a small shop where he could open his business, a small bookstore he named “the Myth Smith”.
