Description I just noticed this, but the deviation id number has the numbers "666" together. Dat's bloody scary... o.O

Mountain tread, weary men. Sword drawn, march 'til dawn. Scrape the foes like old oak goes, and yield no life to unnatural light.

Bathe in the Dark, blood upon the marks. Wolves are heeding, the king is leading in the search for the bleeding...

"I've come to destroy, not conquer and employ. Begone is the sun, but the Angels are shunned. Bear your teeth for the queen of myth. For her last breath in health has unleashed the Beast of Hell."

The Black Eye is high, the cold wind fills the night. Shadow transforms he who spoke of thee, as the king becomes the beast fabled by they of long age gone and decayed.

Altered this vector I made of Link for new purposes, though I hate my own vectors because when I do change them, I can't make it any more different than they are/were.

I did make his arm and new boot, as well as changed his form so he's standing at his full 6.6 feet that he does in my stories about Dawn of Darkness. And at least I did decently on the background.

Kingdom (the name of his Sheikah's homeland) is constantly stuck in Winter season. Only half of the land is covered in snow because the Moon Pearls he once had are no longer together. The Moon Pearls brought balance and order to his world so long as he had enough together. The Goddesses placed the Moon Pearls in the Dark World to keep the evil curse brought by king Ganondorf from tempering with the natural atmosphere. So long as the Moon Pearls were close to each other, the Dark World would be balanced in dimensional form.

But since king Link lost them during the war and after his defeat at the battle of Gelloth, he had no choice but to order his Sheikah from the seal he was bound in by Twinrova to disperse them across Kingdom in ancient temples and underground cities that he had once dungeon crawled in to free the seven maidens descended from the Hylian Sages before he was killed by Soul Edge who influenced his friends to betray him, revived by the Sheikah (who unintentionally played a part in his corruption) and corrupted by Ganondorf.

Though the Sheikah did not truly know the purpose of the Moon Pearls, they obeyed his command. The removal of atmospheric balance in the Dark World caused climatic effects in Kingdom which resulted in the land being sealed off from the Southern Realm where the evil king's empire ruled. Not even Ganondorf could reopen the paths that Link successfully sealed off. Leaving Ganondorf no choice but to wait for what he knew would be the time that Link chose a warrior to wield Courage and release him from his curse.

The Moon Pearls can release Link, but not while they are together when he was sealed. When they are reunited, they unleash a massive amount of pure magic and holy energy that was meant to break any curse no matter how strong it was and destroy impurity. The only way Link could get free is if the Moon Pearls were reunited and they released the burst of energy. In the time it took him to realize that the Moon Pearls were key to his freedom, the great temples he had them hidden in to keep Ganondorf's minions from finding them and to seal the Northern Realm from the Southern Realm, the resting places where the Moon Pearls waited had become infested with evil creatures. All of the Northern Realm's greatest warriors nor Impa's elite Sheikan knights could not infiltrate the temples and retrieve the pearls successfully. Any who tried disappeared in the dark depths of the entrance halls and were never seen again.

Both sides of the Dark World now at a complete stalemate in the Shadow Wars, they could only wait for a proper warrior worthy to wield the crest of Farore and pure enough to hold the Master Sword in battle.

Upon being teleported by accident to the Dark World, Cassandra Alexandra of Athens, Greece, becomes Link's chosen successor as Hero of the Gods. The task falls to her, Sophitia Alexandra, Raphael Sorel and Yun-Seong to recover the Moon Pearls with the guidance of queen Impa, her daughter Princess Sheik, and the Moon Hunter who is Link's double, Dark Link who calls himself Morgoth to hide his true connections to the king. Dark Link is not connected to Link as his army was so he was not affected by Twinrova's curse. Dark Link's troops who he created are the only living remnants of the Dark Army that once lived to serve the King but can no longer affect the living, only interact with the living and the dead.

Cassandra soon learns that a spirit lives in the Master Sword, who Impa calls the Queen of Myth. Later, the sword gains enough strength and the spirit reveals herself as Fi. Impa demands the spirit return to eternal sleep to keep an ancient evil bound in the corrupted holy blade, but Fi explains that that evil died long ago, during the third kingdom of Hyrule and lives now in the one remnant of the endless circle begun so long ago before the founding of the first Kingdom. She also explains that with the corruption of the Hero, that evil would of escaped through his grip on the hilt of the sword, for it took the shape that best fit his malformed soul.

Princess Sheik and Dark Link separated from this group sometime before to tend to their responsibilites, so Fi becomes Cassandra's guide until she releases the king.

That's basically the summary of the first part of Dawn of Darkness. The second part is the return of war and the struggle against Ganondorf (Where Ganondorf makes an actual appearance.

I didn't understood much of the story but as soon as I saw the name of your chosen heroine which is what a female hero is called I immediately smelled a Mary Sue coming on.

Not at all, the character in question is a copyrighted character to the series Soul Calibur. Cassandra Alexandra was the sister to Sophitia who is, sadly, the series' own Mary Sue, according to the majority of the fandom itself.

I'm just taking her sometimes unappreciated character and throwing her into the Zelda-version of Hell on one dark quest. I do not ever try to write the characters I use as Mary Sues. In fact, I may have to come back and look deeper at that summary and eliminate that vibe.

Thank you, but if I may say that the Master Sword is in fact corrupt, in my head canon it takes the form best suited for its wielder. Or at least in my fiction it does.

cool idea, tho would it still be the sword of evil's bane then?

The-Dark-Lord-Link In reply to OniRiku2 [2012-09-14 00:52:12 +0000 UTC]

Yes it is. It repels evil, but relishes in Darkness much like its master does now (in the fiction).

Thank you. The story is set to be rewritten, the current chapters and their contents are obsolete and need to be refreshed with my newest sense for this verse. Though, I'm afraid I don't have the will to do it just yet until Know-Kname has finished my latest request.
