Warm, semi-swampy terrainย  I think... The Permian landscape was mostly a supercontinent of a vast dry arid interior with a few watercourses and seasonal streams, the coastal regions were sandy-soiled swamplands.ย  The Apex predator, Dimetrodon might have hunted the verge lands where they overlapped... so... someplace like East Texas?
